The Truth About Maternity Pants…

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

is that you don’t need them! During pregnancy your abdomen expands, duh, but your pants don’t. Okay, got that already. However, most of the time you can put your pants on, you just can’t zip them up! But what would that matter if you simply wore a top that draped well below your waist AND you had a way to stop your pants rom falling off without resorting to suspenders!?

Ingrid & Isabel Bella Band Accessory is a way for you to put on your pants, pull them up to where is comfortable, leave the zipper open and then keep your pants tucked underneath the broad band. You can walk around with confidence that your pants are going to stay put

In the illustration you can see how this wide elasticized band snuggles securely against your lower mid-section holding your pants comfortably in place. The band is available in white with or without a lace border This band is an undergarment

So instead of buying more clothes, you can buy a couple of these and you’re set. This also works if you are gaining weight–temporarily, or otherwise–and can no longer close your pants comfortably. ;)

Here is the Ingrid & Isabel Lace Trim Bella Band Accessory which can be worn as a discrete undergarment without anyone being the wiser

Now of course if you’ve got your heart set on getting maternity pants stop by the Maternity Mall.

The Truth About Lingerie…

…..is that– depending on one’s lifestyle, customs and/or line of work,–it is not one of life’s necessities.

So why would we put on a Babydoll, Bodystocking, Bodysuit, Bodice, Bustier, Camisole, Chemise, Corset by bone, Corselet, French maid, fantasywear, G-String/Thong, Garter, Garter belt, Girdle, and so and and so forth?

For some of us we find the way we look in clothing to be more acceptable if the foundation that we put those clothes on is just so. And most of the time it is easier to put on a girdle or padded panties, a push up bra, a padded bra or a bodysuit than to actually alter the flesh through diet, exercise and/or surgery.

Now if you enjoy lingerie why not indulge yourself! Victoria’s Secret is a very popular merchandiser that carries may labels, even their own. They’ve got great marketing and seem to have stores in major shopping malls all over the US. Fredericks of Hollywood always seemed to have a sleezier streak however it’s all about marketing and attitude.

Whatever turns you on, so to speak, is what should determine where you shop and what you buy.Black or white spandex t-shirts and red g-strings: that’s my current lingerie uniform and it can hardly be called lingerie at all. It’s much too practical. I use this combination as underwear, sleepwear and outerwear…well, actually I DO pull on a pair of slacks if I should wander outside.

Now in addition to creating a more pleasing frame to hang clothes on, lingerie is used as sleepwear. And I don’t mean simply sleeping in one’s underwear because some lingerie sleepwear is never worn as underwear at all but strictly for sleeping or rather…

Some nighties are actually meant as tools of seduction. Meaning by wearing this or that we are intending to make ourselves more sexually appealing. Now I don’t know honestly why this works. Have we been so well trained that women wearing “sexy” lingerie are more sexually appealing than women who don’t put such lingerie?

Don’t you have a heightened feeling when you are dressed up compared when you are wearing grundge? With that heightened feeling comes a more confident and vibrant attitude too. So, maybe dressing in sexy lingerie gives us a sexier attitude which also, at least in part is making us more sexually attractive. Whatever.

It doesn’t have to be deep. Have fun.

Lingeries is a general term used form women’s undergarments and sleepwear. It can also be used as a stage prop or element of seduction.
Panties, Peignoir, Petticoat, Pettipants, Robe, Slip (Full slip and Half slip / Underskirt), Spanky-Pants, “Spankies” , Tanga, Tap Pants, Teddy, Undergarment, Unitard…

Have you even heard of all of those? I know some were new for me, too. If you are in need of a smoother, curvier or less voluptuous foundation to put your clothes on or you want to feel/be sexier in or out of bed why not indulge yourself in some mail order lingerie?

Special Needs:
Full Figure Fashion: Bare Necessities has great bras for us full figured girls.
Sport Bras: For those of us engaged in vigorous pursuits like aerobics videos, stairmasters, jogging and the like.

Oh, and let’s not forget the sexy shoes…which are probably for the indoor or outdoor show…
